Reviews
“This brief verse novel packs a punch: The poems are concise yet robust and convey a change in tone from sobering and intense to hopeful... Moving and accessible.” ― Kirkus Reviews
“Succinctly told, and packs an emotional punch, exploring the themes of losing and finding one's voice, overcoming trauma, and the healing power of love.” ― Canadian Children's Book News
“A sweet love story… Recommended.” – CM: Canadian Review of Materials
"This little novel in verse is full of big ideas. It explores how young people heal from past traumas and abuse. It also talks about labour rights. Young people are so often taken advantage of, so it was great to see a young person standing up for himself and his coworkers." - YA Canada Books (Instagram)
