Testimonials
"
Sara has edited both my short fiction and poetry, and offers positive, intelligent and thoughtful responses and suggestions. She is able to spot where metaphors need strengthening and images need clarification, where plot holes lurk and characters fall flat — and she offers constructive suggestions for fixing these issues. Working with a talented, caring editor like Sara has been a blessing." - Julie Paul, award-winning author of the fiction and poetry collections Meteorites, The Pull of the Moon and The Rules of the Kingdom.

"It was an honour to have Sara edit my YA novel. Even though it had already been read and critiqued by many writer friends, she found so much more that could be improved. Her attention to detail is meticulous. And I learned from her, about cutting words, tightening sentences. It was easy to accept her suggestions because they were balanced with positive feedback. I would be delighted to work with Sara again." - Shelley Hrdlitschka, author of 11 novels, including GG-finalist Sister Wife and Lost Boy.

"Sara was able to see what I couldn’t see in my picture book manuscript — both what was working and what wasn’t. This outside perspective proved invaluable when I sat down to revise. Her comments were both helpfully concrete and encouraging, so I felt like she was working with me, rather than simply criticizing. It’s hard to find a good editor, but I believe Sara is one!" - Antonia Banyard, author of Water Wow!, Eat Up! and Dangerous Crossings.

"Working with Sara was delightful. I was at the point in my 100-page manuscript where I was 'lost in the woods'. Sara gave me clear and concrete help, and we finished the book. I would be losing heart, and she would say, 'We'll finish this chapter and get on to the next...' And so we found our way through the woods. She is a fine writer and able to work with a writer in a way that is not intrusive. And she's great company." - Lorraine Murray, author of The Adventures of Humboldt.
